Matthew Thrasher is the founder of Thrasher Advisors. He has spent more than two decades practicing law and operating real estate businesses.

He started his career as a transactional attorney, building a multi-office law firm that advised entrepreneurs, developers, finance professionals, and family offices on real estate, securities, fund structuring, and corporate governance.

Over time, he moved from the legal seat to the operating seat. Most recently, he served as President of a multi-billion dollar real estate development and investment firm with a nationwide portfolio across multifamily, hospitality, retail, and mixed-use assets.

Matt’s experience as both lawyer and operator shapes how he approaches client work today. He brings the discipline of someone trained to read documents carefully and structure for long-term consequences, paired with the urgency of someone who has run a business with real capital on the line.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree at Occidental College and his J.D. at Vanderbilt University. He is admitted to practice in Arizona, Texas, and New York, and is certified as a real estate specialist by the State Bar of Arizona.
